1. Account and Upload Privacy

You do not need an account to use OldMeme, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or password. Images you upload in the editor are processed in your browser for editing and export. Saved projects and automatic editor drafts are stored locally in your browser unless you choose to download or share the result yourself.

2. Local Storage

The "Projects" feature and editor draft recovery use your browser's built-in localStorage functionality. This means that saved projects and recent in-progress drafts are stored only on your own device and within your own browser. This data is not sent to our servers or any third party. Clearing your browser's cache or storage will permanently delete these saved projects and drafts.

3. Analytics, Ads, and Cookies

In production, OldMeme may use Google Analytics, Ahrefs Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google Funding Choices. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic, understand site performance, serve ads, prevent abuse, and manage consent messages. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through any consent controls shown on the site.

4. Third-Party Content and APIs

Our application uses the following third-party services to provide templates, live meme content, and site functionality:

  • memegen.link API: We also source templates from memegen.link. You can learn more at their website.
  • Meme API: We use meme-api.com to show public Reddit meme posts on the homepage. Content belongs to the original authors.
  • Google services: We may use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google Funding Choices. We recommend you review the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Ahrefs Analytics:We may use Ahrefs Analytics for privacy-conscious traffic measurement. You can review Ahrefs' privacy information on their website.
